This year marked Forgeway’s debut at The CV Show – and what a show it was!
We had a great time meeting up with familiar faces and connecting with new ones. Our stand sure turned a few heads, and we can’t wait to see where our new relationships will take us.
Bringing our revolutionary product Formoa to the show, we were able to talk through the benefits of bonding commercial vehicles together and how both body builders and operators will save money initially and throughout the life of the vehicle.
Making small alterations like a reduction of 50kg could result in 1% reduction in fuel usage, and a combination of little changes can save over £1000 per year in fuel for a vehicle. It’s things like this that really do go a long way in increasing a vehicles longevity while reducing its fuel consumption.
We wanted to highlight these facts a little differently, which led to the idea of conducting a DIY health check by teaming up with AXA PPP healthcare and having one of their physiologists with us at the exhibition. Those who took advantage of this were interested or even surprised at the results they received. It was great drawing comparisons between their health and the health and quality of their vehicles on the road.
By using Formoa to construct commercial vehicles in combination with lightweight panels and extrusions, they will be substantially lighter, meaning businesses can increase their payloads per journey. Vehicles will also be free from mould and corrosion, and in many cases the total life of the vehicle can be extended by many years
As it was our first time at the show, we were excited to find many ground-breaking projects that were bonded with Formoa – how many did you see? We spotted a 7.5 Tonne truck with a 3-tonne payload and a home delivery vehicle with over 1350KG payload to name a few.
